Calamintha nepeta subsp. nepeta ‘Blue Cloud’

Calamintha nepeta subsp. Nepeta ‘Blue Cloud’ makes large clumps of menthol scented foliage topped with a froth of pale lilac flowers from mid July until late September. 30cm height and 40cm width.

A super alternative to nepeta (catmint). The flower spikes are made up of tiny flowers that create an ethereal froth at the border front. A fabulous foil to larger bolder flower shapes such as Hemerocallis, eryngiums or echinaceas. The clumps are always a buzz with bees. Sunny position.
