Classic Denim Smock

Like our jumpers we have chosen another traditional UK based manufacturer of seafaring ware to supply our smocks. Smocks were originally worn by seafarers and fishermen as a loose over garment to protect their knitted sweaters. Smocks are now equally popular staples of gardeners with their comfortable loose fit and  large functional pockets for string, seeds and snips – you name it. These smocks are made from denim rather than the traditional cotton twill, which can feel rather stiff and starchy. I like the way that these classic denim smocks, like your favourite jeans, will in time soften for a comfortable ‘lived in’ feel.

Our model is a size 10-12 and is wearing a denim Smock in size Small.
