Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Goldtau’

Perhaps the finest selected form of Deschampsia cespitosa.  Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Goldtau’ is a more compact cultivar which is extremely floriferous.  Silvery, green flowers are borne from early summer, they soon turn to a rich gold in late Summer before fading to white in Winter.  We have large swathes of this underplanting an avenue of crabapples, the buff tones of the seed heads combining beautifully with the crab apples in Autumn.  Divide ever few years to keep the plants in peak condition.  60-80cm
