Hylotelephium ruprechtii ‘Hab Gray’
Hylotelephium ruprechtii ‘Hab Grey’ (syn. Sedum r. ‘Hab Grey’) is an upright border perennial with the most handsome glaucous foliage flushed pink of all the sedums we grow. Lovely interspersed with dark maroon flowered Astrantias. Flowering in late July – August with pale creamy yellow flowers emerging from pale pink buds. As with all sedum, it is simply adored by bees.
As for whether to Chelsea chop, many people swear by it. We are always too busy in late May to do it and so we divide our plants every few years to prevent them getting too top heavy.
