Kalimeris mongolica

Kalimeris is not a particularly well known genus, and its a great shame because they are beautiful plants that are easy to grow. Flowering throughout summer, upon initial sight they are a little reminiscent of Asters.

Kalimeris mongolica is a wonderful species which has much larger flowers then some of the others, the flowers are a pale lilac colour with a prominent yellow eye. It is a little lax and we therefore have to stake it to prevent it becoming top heavy.
