Klasea bulgharica
Klasea bulgharica seems to go under several names – perhaps no one can quite decide what it is. We originally acquired it as Serratula bulgharica. Either way Klasea bulgharica is a statuesque plant, topped with the most wonderful white thistles that always remind me of Russians wearing those huge white fur hats! Sometimes needs staking as it does reach 1.8-2m in height. Repeat flowering if deadheaded. An unusual and beautiful tall perennial for flowering throughout Summer. Sunny position and good humus rich soil preferred.
