Lotus hirsutus
More commonly known as Hairy Canary Clover, this is a remarkably tolerant plant. Creating a small shrub which is covered in soft, grey almost hairy foliage which is not unlike clover. From June onwards it is covered in pinkish white pea like flowers which last well until early autumn when they develop into handsome seedheads.
Thriving in drought, we find it to be completely hardy, even our rather wet Shropshire garden.
