Nothosmyrnium japonicum var. sutchuenense ‘Loushan Filigree’

We were introduced to Nothosyrnium japonicum var. sutchuenense ‘Loushan Filigree’ by Dove Cottage Nursery a couple of years ago when it was named as an angelica. What a wonderful plant it is too! Like Selinum wallichianum this is another fabulous late flowering umbel. In late August and throughout September it produces a mass of dark upright wiry stems topped with pure white delicate lacy umbels. I have planted it in part shade and full sun and it has done brilliantly in both situations. It is a wonderful addition to the late Season garden and combines beautifully with tender salvias, grasses, asters and japanese anemones. Highly recommended.
