Panicum virgatum ‘Prairie Sky’

Panicum virgatum ‘Prairie Sky’ has distinctly glaucous blue foliage throughout the growing season, which makes a beautiful backdrop to other flowering plants. The flowers of Panicum virgatum ‘Prairie Sky’ do not emerge until October and form delicate airy flowerheads also of pale greeny blue. Later in Autumn the leaves turn a lovely golden-yellow colour. Reaches a height of 1.5m and needs an open sunny spot and reasonable drainage.
