Patrinia scabiosifolia is quite different from Patrinia monandra, in fact its flower structure and general appearance is like Verbena bonariensis only with very vibrant yellow flowers rather than purple. A tall late flowering perennial. This vibrant plant really lifts the border late in the season and provides an excellent contrast to all those rich purple and mauve asters.
