Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Black Beauty’
Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Black Beauty’ produces an abundance of bottle brush like flowers in Autumn. The flowers are darker black towards the centre and surrounded by a fuzzy halo of fine bristles that catch the light, or dew, or frost for that matter. They form large clumps of healthy green foliage for much of the year, but their Autumn performance is so spectacular they deserve to be found a warm sunny spot in any garden. Their height is 1m and eventual spread is 60cm.
