Penstemon digitalis ‘Husker Red’

We are really taken with the Penstemon digitalis cultivars that have been fairly recent introductions to the garden. Penstemon digitalis ‘Husker Red’ has beautiful deep maroon red foliage from when it emerges in Spring, which makes a lovely backdrop to the Spring tulips. By the time it has reached flowering height the foliage colour is still a lovely dark green flushed dark red  and combined with delicate tubular white flushed pale lilac flowers. Sun or part shade. Height 1m.
