This book comes highly recommended to me by a recent visitor to the garden who worked in conservation.  It is the tale of one persons mission to track down the last remaining remnants of the Britains temperate rainforest.  Having formerly covered upto on fifth of the UK’s landmass to day mere fragments remain.  These fragments are home to an amazing array of life forms.  We were fortunate to walk through one of the few remaining areas on our holiday to the West coast of Scotland last year.
