Uncinia unciniata

Strictly speaking a sedge rather then a grass.  Year round grassy tussocks of deep mahogany brown foliage. Lovely to weave through a planting where its wonderful foliage colour can pick up on neighbouring flowering perennials and set off clumps of Spring flowering bulbs.  Also excellent for growing in pots, especially for winter colour. Height 30cm. Best on rich and fertile soils, in sun or part shade.
