‘Swifts’ – an evening lecture on these fascinating birds with Julie Cowley, Tuesday 22nd September @ 7pm

As a last minute addition to our list of courses and talks this year we are very excited to have local ecologist and Swift expert Julie Cowley coming to give an evening lecture on these fascinating birds. We so look forward to the swifts arriving in May. For many of us they are the sound of Summer – shrieking through the skies at top speed. Some of you visiting the garden this year may have noticed 3 swift boxes have been erected near to the nursery sales shed. With Julie’s advice and help we are hoping to encourage swifts to take up residence in the garden. Come and find out more about swifts and how you can help them at home.

£5 per person to include tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival. All takings to be donated to Church Stretton Wildlife Group to help with future Swift conservation projects. The garden gates open from 6.15pm to enjoy the garden, plants for sale etc in advance of the talk starting at 7pm. Places are limited so please book online.
