Melica uniflora f. albida

A grass that we have taken some time to fully appreciate its beauty.  Melica uniflora f. albida is somewhat unassuming, creating a delicate carpet of fresh green foliage in shade, even dry shade.  In early spring a mass of tiny flowers, like small grains of rice are produced and persist throughout the season.  The foliage remains looking good throughout the summer and is an ideal partner for ferns, hosts, Pulmonarias and Epimediums.  H.60cm.
