Pachyphragma macrophyllum

There are some plants that I have grown for years, and yet somehow never get round to propagating!  Pachyphragma macrophyllum is one such plant.  Producing dense carpets in shady areas, come March a mass of white flowers are borne, the flowers are a little like Cardamine.   I have grown this on both pure sand and on the limestone which we now garden on and it has thrived in both locations.   I always remember Beth Chatto writing in an article about how when Pachyphragma is in full flower it can give the appearance of fresh snowfall!  Easy, even in dry shade.
