Veronicastrum sibiricum ‘Kobaltkaars’

Veronicastrum sibiricum ‘Kobaltkaars’ has rich violet purple spikes from June to July. It is a more compact height then many other cultivars and is a self supporting at 130cm. Looks good with Phlox ‘Blue Paradise’.

One of the finest vertical accents in the border. Flowering from mid-summer, they are a mecca for bees and butterflies. Once the flowers fade their border presence is replaced by their seed heads, which are some of the best in the garden. Easy to grow in full sun. No staking required (except on very rich soil).
