Eryngium bourgatii

The Mediterranean Sea Holly – Eryngium bourgatii  has beautifully marbled white on green spikey basal foliage and electric blue thistle heads in mid Summer. Very happy planted in gravel in a Sunny position. Good seed heads follow in Winter. Here planted against the acid green froth of the diminutive Alchemilla erythropoda. Height 30cm.
