Filipendula rubra ‘Venusta’

Filipendula rubra ‘Venusta’ is a moisture loving perennial for the waters edge or in a good humus rich soil in the border.  In high summer large plumes of rich pink candy floss like flowers.  We find that despite reaching heights of 200cm it rarely needs staking.

Filipendula rubra ‘Venusta’ can have a propensity to spread on rich soils, however we find it easy enough to keep it in check with a sharp spade, alternatively grow on poorer soil where it will naturally be kept in check.
