Geranium libani
Geranium libani, or Lebanese Geranium, is a wild species native to the wooded mountains of Lebanon, Syria and central Turkey. It emerges with an attractive flush of fresh green foliage in late Winter/early Spring and is a mass of vivid blue -mauve flowers with delicate purple veining in April – May. This hardy geranium is Summer dormant and the entire plant retreats underground by mid Summer. This form of Geranium libani RCB RL-B-2 is a collection from Cotswold Garden Flowers with petals that overlap more to create a more rounded shape than the more commonly available form. A very beautiful Spring flowering perennial for a semi shaded or sunny position.
