Geranium phaeum ‘Album’

Geranium phaeum ‘Album’ is an excellent early flowering white form that works well lighting up a gloomier shady spot. It forms upright clumps. We like using it in the dappled shade under coppiced hazels where it flowers in late Spring, forming a tapestry with other Spring flowering woodland perennials, ferns and crossing over with the first flowers of Astrantia ‘Moira Reid’. It is also happy planted in an open sunny spot in the garden. Prefers humus rich, heavier soils, but an easy going plant. Height 50-60cm.
