Iris sibirica ‘Silver Edge’
It is always a joyful moment in the garden when the Iris sibirica start to flower in late May. A real sign that summer has arrived. ‘Silver Edge’ is a superb cultivar with much bigger flowers then many and borne and good tall stems. The flowers them selves are a good rich blue, with a striking silver white edge to each petal.
We grow our Iris sibirica in an area of the garden which has much heavier soil which can sit very wet in winter, yet dry out in Summer and they seem very happy. You can of course use them as marginal plants for ponds.
