Isodon effuses
Isodon effuses should be grown more widely. It is a simply superb plant for shade in Autumn. Reaching its peak in mid-September, when masses of grey/blue flowers are borne above purple tinted foliage.
A native of Japan, it is completely hardy and pretty much trouble free. Plant it in dappled shade where it is not too dry.
