Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Lum’
Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Lum’ is a relatively new cultivar to us. It came very highly recommend by another gardener.
A compact form which reaches little more then 80cm in height, resulting in it requiring no staking. An early flowerer, with it pushing up the fast flowers in early May. Rich red thimble flowers.
It recently received an AGM from the RHS where the trial commitee commented:
“very early flowering. Neat upright habit. Floriferous, many small red burrs flowers held well above the foliage. Clean. Useful colour early in the season. High ratio of flower to foliage. Good early season cultivar”
