Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Martin’s Mulberry’

Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Martin’s Mulberry’ is an excellent earlier flowering cultivar with a mass of deep maroon red thimble shaped flowers in early June. It is approximately 1.2m in height and in a more exposed site we often stake it, but in a more sheltered spot it is self supporting. Absolutely beautiful against the emerging purple brown flower heads of grass Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster’.
