Sporobolus heterolepis

We fell in love with Sporobolus heterolepsis years ago at Dove Cottage Garden, Halifax.  In mid summer a haze of delicate flower heads are produced and when the sun is on it a sumptuous scent of coriander fills the air.  Come Autumn the entire plant will take on gorgeous golden and orange tones.  Slow to bulk up, but most defiantly worth the wait.  50cm.  Cut back in late Winter.
