Symphyotrichum ericoides var. prostratum ‘Snow Flurry’

Beth Chatto bought this plant back from a lecture tour in America, a ground hugging aster which is completely smothered in tiny white flowers with a yellow eye.  Although the plant stems from a compact central plant, it spreads out like the antennas of an octopus to carpet the soil throughout September, resulting in a complete carpet of white throughout the Autumn.  Give it space.  Super!
