Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Tautrager’
Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Tautrager’ is a taller cultivar, reaching 100cm when in full flower. From early summer a mass of delicate silvery green flowers are produced. ‘Tautrager’ is not as floriferous as the likes of ‘Goldtau’, however this is not a detriment, as it allows for a more airy affect. We use this as a specimen plant amongst the likes of Astrantia and Phlox. Like all Deschampsia as the season progresses the flowers fade to gold and then white.
Cut back plants in late winter and we recommend dividing them ever 2-3 years to keep the plants in peak condition.
