Laserpitium siler

A most wonderful umbel which grows wild in the Alps and Pyrenees.  Laserpitium siler is a show stopping umbel, reaching 120-150cm tall in flower, with giant cow parsley like flowers up to 15cm across.  White flowers open from pink buds.  The foliage is almost as beautiful as the flowers, heavily diveded and glaucous silver in colour.  The foliage emerges from late March onwards.

Grow in full sun with good drainage.  Excellent in a gravel garden.
