Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Hameln’
Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Hameln’ produces bottle brush flowers that emerge green with a pinkish hue and fade to pale brown. The flowers emerge in early Autumn. Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Hameln’ needs an open sunny site to flower prolifically. It is a softer more subdued effect than the two darker flowered Pennisetum alopecuroides that we grow. This cultivar has a beautiful ethereal effect in the border. Its height is 60-90cm.
