Pennisetum thunbergii ‘Red Buttons’

Pennisetum thunbergii ‘Red Buttons’ flowers far earlier then the other species we grow and is looking glorious in the border from July when its dark cotton tail flower heads dot through a planting of Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’, Achillea ‘Red Velvet and Hemerocallis ‘Berlin Red’ , helping to weave it all together. Even as the colour fades to a creamy white bunny tails they still look wonderful in the border into early Autumn. Height 60-80cm. Needs to be planted in a sunny position to flower at its best.
