Salvia saggitata ‘Blue Butterflies’

True blues are somewhat few in the garden, however one group of plants that can be relied upon to bring a pop of electric blue to the garden are tender Salvias.

One such Salvia is Salvia saggitata ‘Blue Butterflies’, tender with us here in Shropshire we use it for summer bedding, either in the border or in large pots.  With a wonderful, slightly arching habit, it produces a seem less procession of cobalt blue flowers from high summer right the way through to the first frosts.

We take cuttings to over winter or alternatively bring the whole plant in and prune back.

Height and spread 60cm.
