Symphyotrichum ‘Chilly Fingers’
Sympyotrichum ‘Chilly Fingers’ is a relatively tall cultivar with pale silvery lilac blue flowers. The narrow individual petals appear to be slightly twisted or curled giving the effect of something looking cold or frosted – I mean that in the most attractive sense! The name is wonderfully evocative and this is a very distinctive and beautiful aster. It requires a little support as it can be a bit lax. We plant ours amongst clumps of tall golden Calamagrostis brachytricha for a glorious combination in late September – October. Height 1.2 m
