Symphyotrichum lateriflorum ‘Lady in Black’
Symphyotrichum lateriflorum ‘Lady in Black’ is grown more for its fabulous dusky black foliage then its flowers which are an added bonus right at the end of the season – well into October. The flowers form large domed heads consisting of many tiny white, pink centred flowers. The foliage looks good all year from Spring onwards and provides a fabulous backdrop to many other flowering plants from tulips, iris and later phlox to name but a few.
