Diascia ‘Blackthorn Apricot’

Diascia ‘Blackthorn Apricot’ – Think of Diascia and often we think of Summer bedding plants or perhaps the hardier Diascia personata, which reaches lofty heights in our garden.  However, in between these two there are a number of more perennial Diascia which are ideal for pots or at the front of the border.  Diascia ‘Blackthorn Apricot’ is one such plant.  Reaching little more then 40cm x 30cm it is a mass of soft apricot flowers throughout the Summer months.  In our Shropshire Garden we have opted to grow it in a large pot, bringing it into an open polytunnel for the Winter months, where it has proved hardy with the protection from excess wet.  Fabulous plant.
